TRAVELS / Italy road trip

For the Easter holidays we decided to make a little road trip to Italy and pssst there is also something for the boys of you in this post. We started at 6 in the morning and drove all the way down to Florence with only two little stops (hello espresso and a fresh orange juice) because the weather was absolutely amazing and driving was so much fun. After six hours we arrived in Florence and promptly got lost in the hundreds of small streets. The oh so amazing navigation system was absolutely no help at all. It always wanted us to go left when you could only go right and funny things like this.

It felt like hundreds of hours passed but we finally found our hotel. (A little tip on the side: Don't take a hotel near Ponte Vecchio - so in the center - if you arrive by car. Take a taxi. Oh please take a taxi and let them have the stress of driving through thousands of tourists who don't care about the car that almost hits them)

After a cold shower and new cloths we started walking around the city:

A very nice restaurant with not too much tourists.

After one night in Florence, sight seeing and a little shopping our next destination was Maranello. The one's of you who have a little fuel in their hearts know that Maranello is the birth place of Ferrari and something my Mister Man always wanted to see. Because there is really nothing else to do there we went straight to the Ferrari Museum the next day in the morning and boy they know what they're doing there.

Inside there is a lot of history with old and new cars, Formula 1 cars, classic Ferraris, bikes, engines, prices they won and everything else you can think of when it comes to Ferrari.

After the amazing Museum and (of course) a ride with a Ferrari (the California to be precise) we got back in our - well, a liiiiittle slower - car and decided that we wanted to see a bit of the ocean as well but we didn't want to do too much driving so we went (boring but still Italy) to Caorle to end our holiday with a nice Italian Pizza and some wine.
