There are those times when a special piece of clothing, a poncho (hey Burberry), a bag (Céline, Stella, Hermès and maaaaany others) or a shoe (keep reading below) are so unbelievably trendy that you see them on every cool blogger, rich kid and model. Then, a few month later the normal people realize that this special item could really be cool and then (again a few months later) everybody wants to own it. The only problem: the price. Then, big brands like ZARA and H&M start producing look-a-likes and a year later EVERYBODY - and I mean everybody - has it. The 13-year-old wannabe fashionista, the I-can't-belive-I'm-getting-older-so-I'll-hide-it-by-dressing-cool lady next door and every second long hair blonde combines it with her Moncler jacket.
Today I would like to introduce you to another one of these items. The Elyse shoe by Stella McCartney. During Fashion Week this shoe was one thing you could't miss when you follow the big Chiara Ferragnis in the fabulous world of fashion. Of course, wedges already had their amazing time in the 80ies but during the last year (as all the fashion from the 80ies and 90ies returned) the wedge was part of this movement. As I'm not the tallest person this comes quite handy as wedges are way easier to walk with than normal heels. The wooden element gives it the "we all want to live healthy"-touch everyone seems to love these days and maybe that's the reason for the success of these big cuties.
What do you think about them? I would love to hear your opinion.
