INTERIOR / what my future home will look like

I've always felt like I need several apartments just because I liked too may different styles when it comes to interior. In the last couple of years I always went for the classic all white and little splash of colour every now and then and was always quite happy about it. BUT it always worked for one or two rooms, never a whole apartment. Since I'm constantly on the move at the moment I haven't really thought about furnishing an apartment until I stumbled upon THIS APARTMENT DREAM. It has everything I always wanted when it comes to my future home and more. I found this piece of gold in Byron Bay by accident. I planned to go to another motel and ended up at the wrong one but it was so unbelievably perfect I couldn't have asked for more.

My room was part of a house that was recently renovated and you can rent just a room or the whole house via Airbnb. Have a look at it if you plan to go to Byron Bay soon as it is my pure interior inspiration. (Instagram @flamingo_cottage)

INTERIOR / new apartment inspiration #1

INTERIOR / Ghost chair inspiration

I am still more than happy with my Louis Ghost chair by Phillip Starck that I showed you HERE and now I'll show you a bit of what I plan to do with him. I already ordered a fur that should arrive soon and than I want everything to look a bit like this:

Simple, clean and a lot of white. I haven't decided on everything just yet but I know a few details that I definitely want and a fur on Louis is definitely one. The rest will come over time but here are a few pics that inspired me. Oh doesn't he just look amazing?!

INTERIOR / Louis Ghost chair

“Every object, every shape, every style must have a meaning, and it is this meaning that influences us every day.” - Philippe Starck

Philippe Starck was born in 1949 and showed his first interest for living space as a student in Paris where he designed an inflatable house in 1969. Years later, after experiencing was success was like, the general public discovered Starck when President François Mitterrand  chose his project to decorate the private residences at the Elysée Palace. In the following years his success became global and with Restaurants, Hotels and countless designs the days for another huge success had arrived.

His designs focus more on functionality than on the object itself  aiming to provide the best possible service using a minimum of material. So Philippe Starck developed plastic furniture. Undoubtedly one of the most iconic ones is the Louis Ghost chair (Kartell, 2002).

I always love looking at this chair but never imagined myself owning one. Now that a few things in my life changed I decided that Louis had to be part of my new life. So I went to a Kartell store where they told me that this chair has been sold over 2.5 million times worldwide. Just imagine that many chairs. Unbelievable.

But of course, Louis is not only available in clean white. Here are the other colours:

Now that I have him in my life I'm trying to find the perfect spot for him. I already have some ideas that I will share with you soon. So stay tuned for more interior inspiration.

INTERIOR / workspace inspiration

As you might know (if you follow me on INSTAGRAM or FACEBOOK) I'm currently on a little road trip in Italy. There will be more about it soon on the blog.

Anyway, I've been thinking about redecorating my apartment (again) and the one thing I really want to change now is my "workspace", or let's face it, it's just my work desk - a desk and a wall but that is really enough to let your creativity out.

I want to keep it all really clean and simple with a lot of white. Here are some inspirational images I found (credits and more HERE on my Pinterest board about workspace):
